Grandparents jubilate after Kennedy Agyapong reveals Social Grants approval

Ghanaian politician and a business mogul Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong reveals an unknown policy which most citizens wish to enjoy in his trip to South Africa early this year.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong  was a special guest in a Ghanaian Popular Online Radio station in South Africa, ”The Press Radio” hot show ‘Ghana Te Sen?’. The host Kwaku Anane Jnr. started the program with a Vox-Pop of angry Ghanaians living in South Africa blaming the government of Ghana over free hospitality, Social Grant, Free Education, school feeding etc.

They emphatically state that Ghanaians living in South Africa are not in a good condition but due to poor policies in Ghana has forced them to migrate to South Africa. ” There is no social grant for old age and those living with disabilities, We are enjoying free hospitality in South Africa even though we are foreign nationals” says angry Ghanaians in South Africa.

The host welcomed the member of parliament of Assin central Hon. Kennedy Agyapong with this request from the angry Ghanaian citizens.

He Kwaku Anane Jnr asked; Hon. When will Ghana initiate “Social Grants” for our grandparents?

The MP for Assin Central answered; ‘Well I heard the voice of a woman concerning the ‘Social Grant’ for old age but let me explain this; I think maybe their grandparents do not know their rights or maybe they don’t know anything about it. Government has initiated a policy called LEAP purposely to support 65years upwards’.

The member of parliament also states that; ‘Some leaders of this particular initiative have politicized it to the benefit of  their political party members as well as family and friends. Ken Agyapong however revealed a similar incident that happened in his constituency in 2017 after the 2016 elections.

He later confirmed his interest in becoming President in Ghana. Hon Kennedy Agyapong requested support from Ghanaians and also explained how he will change Ghana with Tourism etc if the chance is given.
