GPL: Eleven Wonders coach Arrested after threatening to beat Referee over poor officiating

Coach of Ghanaian premier League side Eleven Wonders, Ignatius Osei-Ofosu grabbed by police in dramatic Fashion for threatening to beat the hell out of Referee Eric Owusu Prempeh after their match against Bechem United.

The Techiman based club lost 3-1 to Bechem after taking the lead and their coach is not happy with the center referee.

It all started when there was a foul against his team but the opponent played the dead ball without the whistle and also not from the spot. This ball led to a second goal against them with the scores level earlier.

He got agitated as to why the referee didn’t call back the ball thereby confronting the linesman, which led into a heated argument. He was booked (yellow card) for that.

After the game, he decided to confront the referee definitely in connection to that foul. And that’s when the police manhandled him.
