Gov Otti-led govt takes over construction of ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene federal road project

Concerned Abia citizen and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr Monday Ubani has confirmed the takeover of the construction of the dilapidated ikwuano/Ikot ekpene federal road project by the Abia state government.
Ubani revealed the latest development in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday in Umuahia, the state capital.
Recall that the deplorable ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene road is a federal government owed road infrastructure and had severally been approved and awarded to companies for constructions but allegedly abandoned by contractors.
However, Dr Ubani stated in full, “Breaking News recently revealed that the long-abandoned Ikwuano/Ikot Ekpene Road, awarded since 2019 with little to show for the funds expended is now set to be taken over and completed by the Abia State Government under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti.
“As an indigene of Ikwuano, my heart overflows with joy. Having experienced years of empty promises and dashed hopes, I was initially sceptical. But in a moment of prayerful boldness, I called His Excellency last night, and to the glory of God, he picked up my call. With firm assurance, he confirmed: “Once I say it, consider it done.” In that moment, I could not help but exclaim, Praise be to God!
“With this commitment, Ikwuano can now look forward to hope. Governor Otti, by this singular move, has earned the undivided loyalty and gratitude of Ikwuano people. As long as there is breath in us, His Excellency can count on our 100% support.
“Within these two years of active governance in Abia, our people have watched other local governments celebrate commissioned projects while Ikwuano waited in silence. I have always preached patience, assuring them that when our time comes, we would dance like others. That time is now.
“We will,  as Oliver Twist humbly remind His Excellency of other pressing needs: Completion of the Ariam-Usaka Ring Road
“Revival of the Ibere cocoa plantation
“Rehabilitation of dilapidated schools and healthcare facilities in all the 4 Clans.
“Construction of rural access roads linking villages in Oboro, Oloko, Ariam, and Ibere
“Creation of a new local government from Ikwuano
“Youth and women empowerment
“Stable electricity in Ikwuano. Ikwuano is presently the worst in terms of stable electricity.
“Today, I proudly say: I am from Abia! I am from Ikwuano! Under Governor Otti, the shame of the past is giving way to glory.
“Truly, God is an Abian – this is God’s Own State. If you don’t get it, forget it!
“Enyi naga, nayi go gi n’azu; gwogwogwo n ngwo! We Move”.
