Gold buyer brutally murdered by individuals impersonating sellers

Unidentified individuals have allegedly murdered a gold buyer, Kofi Appiah, 30, also known as Kofai, in a brutal attack.

The incident occurred at Asaman Tamfoe in the Atiwa East district of the Eastern Region. According to available information, the gold buyer received a call from individuals intending to sell gold to him.

Unbeknownst to him, these individuals were armed men who had planned to rob and kill him.

Reporting on the incident during Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Nana Yaw stated that the armed men invited Kofi Appiah, and upon his arrival, attacked him.

The reporter noted that Kofi Appiah struggled with the attackers, who brutally assaulted him, severing his hands and other body parts.

Subsequently, the attackers stole his money and other valuables.

The police have been informed and are currently investigating the matter.

Nana Yaw added that this incident is not an isolated one, as similar incidents occurred in the area last year, resulting in the murder of four gold traders and the theft of their valuables.
