Going Green Is the New Way — Alhaji Salamu Amadu Leads Youth-Focused EV Initiative

The President of the Afro Arab Group, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, has reaffirmed his commitment to championing Ghana’s green transition, emphasizing that “going green is the new way” and that the youth must be at the forefront of this national agenda.
Speaking on the Group’s latest sustainability drive, Alhaji Salamu Amadu highlighted the strategic partnership between Afro Arab and its Chinese partners to introduce 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) into the Ghanaian market. The initiative aims to create over 2,000 jobs through a structured work-and-pay model designed to empower young Ghanaians.
According to him, the green transition represents not only an environmental strategy but also a powerful economic tool. “The youth can push this agenda faster than anyone,” he stated. “That is why we are partnering with our Chinese partners to bring in 1,000 EV cars to create jobs and support government efforts in the green transition.”
The project forms part of Afro Arab’s wider commitment to supporting the government’s sustainability initiatives, promoting renewable energy adoption, and advancing Ghana’s transition into a clean and modern transport economy.
With the increasing global demand for climate-friendly solutions, the Afro Arab Group says it is ready to position Ghana as a leader in green mobility across West Africa.
Through this initiative, Alhaji Salamu Amadu demonstrates that youth empowerment, economic growth, and environmental stewardship can move hand in hand, creating a sustainable future for Ghana and the region.
