God has instructed me to ask Ntim to step down for Blay – Wontumi

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has disclosed that God has directed him to inform National First Vice Chairman of the party, Stephen Ayesu Ntim to step down for Mr Freddie Blay to go unopposed as the National Chairman of the party.

He told Kumasi-based Abusua Fm hosted by Kwame Adinkra that that was the message he received from God and per divine directives, he is obliged to deliver it to the right person, which is Stephen Ayesu Ntim.

Chairman Wontumi, as he is affectionately called, said the strategy adopted by Mr Freddie Blay and his team won the party the 2016 elections and therefore changing it was an indirect way of sending the party back into opposition.

“We are pleading with all to join the winning team with the best strategy. We don’t have to destroy the strategy and the winning team. The strategy is very important and Freddie Blay’s strategy of bringing all the regional chairmen together was very instrumental in our success”

“We plead with everybody that, because of our forefathers and success of our dear party, everyone must listen. If Alhaji Short has stepped down, Mr. Stephen Ntim must also step down for Blay”, Chairman Wontumi urged.

According to him, all that the NPP need is to win power and he thinks acting NPP Chairman, Mr. Freddy Blay is capable of ensuring victory for the party in the 2020 general elections and beyond.

The NPP executive reiterated that all his utterances were revealed to him by God and the forefathers of the party like J.B Dankwah Busia and others, thus, they must be adhered to.
