PHOTOS: Landlord and tenant clash over coffin

Residents of Assin Fosu Dumasi in the Fosu Municipality are in a state of shock after a strange coffin was found in a tenant’s bedroom in the community.

The aggrieved landlord, Kwadwo Aboagye who spoke to Adom News’ said one Agya Wood of Assin Fosu Mempeasem came and rented a single room for two young men who posed as a herbalist to start a business.

According to him, surveillance was placed on the young men whom many claimed were cultists.

What made the issue murkier was that, the young men usually enter the room with their back and receive many visitors with fouls, cats and other animals usually used for rituals.

The landlord then gave an order for the room to be broken into and a coffin, different colours of garment and gods moulded with clay, were found.

The two young men, whose names are currently unknown, took to their heels when the youth of the community confronted them. They then vented their anger on the gods and destroyed all of them.

The coffin and the gods have been burnt but the matter is yet to be reported to the police.

Meanwhile, some aggrieved residents of Assin Fosu Dumasi who spoke to Adom News threatened to beat up chiefs and elders of the community, if the suspects are not traced and brought to book.
