Ghanaian student stuns audience with fluent Korean speech during graduation ceremony

In the past few years, Africans have developed the desire to learn more about Asian cultures, particularly the Korean culture.

This interest has been fueled by the global popularity of K-pop, Korean dramas, and films.

This influential wave has even reached a larger African audience, sparking interests among the youth who are learning the Korean language and culture through various avenues.

Currently, a small but significant number of Africans have immigrated to South Korea for education or work purposes, which has prompted them to learn Korean culture to navigate life in South Korea.

As part of this growing wave, a young Ghanaian’s interest in Korean culture has led him to achieve a significant feat.

Richmond Kwadwo Fosu has completed a one-year course in Korean language with a specialization in style.

To top this, Fosu shared a video of himself delivering a speech in Korean at his graduation before an audience.

He remained poised as he shared his learning experience in Korean language, expressing gratitude also to his tutors and staff at @PCUpr, which he described as one of the best Korean language institutions in the world.

In a post shared via X (formerly Twitter) on August 10, 2024, Richmond Kwadwo Fosu expressed his intention to further his education at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea.
