Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah bids farewell to Saudi club Al Tai

Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah has announced his departure from Saudi Pro League side Al Tai. The former Ghana international took to his official X page to tweet, “Always grateful @tai1381,” accompanied by a heartfelt statement.

In his statement, Mensah expressed his gratitude to the fans, saying, “I would like to thank you all for always supporting and giving me strength. I tried to do my best to make you happy this season.”

Mensah joined Al Tai on a free transfer on July 15, 2023, and quickly made an impact by scoring his first goal from the penalty spot in the 12th minute of a game against Al-Hazm on September 16, 2023.

During his time at Al Tai, Mensah made 30 appearances, scored an impressive 14 goals, and provided two assists in the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League season. His contributions placed him 11th on the league’s top scorer list.

The 29-year-old midfielder’s departure marks the end of a successful stint with the Saudi club, leaving a lasting impression with his performances on the field.
