Ghana’s John Laryea will make his international debut in a fight against Nicaraguan boxer Alexander Mejia.

The featherweight division bout is set to come off on November 1, 2024, at Caribe Royale Orlando in the United States of America.

Laryea, known by his ring name ‘Expensive Boxer’ has established himself in Africa, holding the title as a two-time undefeated WBO African Featherweight champion.

He is now set for the international stage as his bout against Mejia is perceived as the biggest fight in his career so far.

The James Town based-boxer holds a stunning record of 14 professional fights, winning 13 with 11 by way of knockouts while he has also drawn 1.

Meija, on the other hand, has nine defeats in 28 fights winning the remaining 19. He is ranked 269th globally.

The fight makes the return of John Laryea into the ring since December 30, 2023, when he defeated Isaac Dowuona at the Golden Royal Beach, Korle Gonno – Accra
