Ghana Water Company Limited assures Ho and surrounding communities of water supply

GWCL engineers report that considerable progress has been made in repairing and testing key components of the water system.

During a visit on Friday, February 7, to the Kpeve Headworks, Volta Regional Minister James Gunu received detailed updates from the engineers led by Mr Francis Lamptey, the General Manager of GWCL in Ho.

Mr. Lamptey outlined the ongoing repair efforts on broken pumps and related infrastructure that have been affecting the water supply.

This follow-up visit comes as part of the Minister’s commitment to resolving the water crisis, a pledge made in response to earlier concerns raised by the affected communities.

The Minister stressed that ensuring access to clean water is a fundamental right and reiterated his commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to monitor the progress of the restoration efforts.

“Access to clean water is a fundamental right, and I will work tirelessly with all stakeholders to find lasting solutions to these challenges,” Gunu declared.
