2024 Elections: Why would you attack me if it’s not because of your wickedness and selfish interest? – Archbishop Duncan-Williams cries out

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the founder of Action Chapel International, has lamented that he has been facing attacks on his life by certain political parties because of the upcoming 2024 elections.

According to the man of God, such attacks on him are a result of the selfish interests of the political leaders behind them.

“If you have watched over the years, I have never done this before, but it is getting too much. I have watched all the different elections since the 4th Republic.

“I saw when President Rawlings came in 1979 and 1981. I saw when Hilla Limann came, that whole election, part of it.

“And I saw when President Kufuor came, and I have seen Atta Mills. I have seen things happening. In most elections, I would be attacked for different reasons, and the only reason why they attack me is because I pray for this nation,” he said.

Speaking to his congregation on October 14, 2024, he warned that he will no longer tolerate such attacks and has called for God’s vengeance upon such people.

“That is the only reason. Why are you against me? Why are you angry with me if you love this country, and if you care about the good of this country? Why are you angry with me? If you don’t have mischief, evil, and wickedness in your heart, that you care more about your party than this country, why are you upset with me? Why are you angry with me? What have I done to you?

“In 2016, they did the same thing to me. In 2008, 2012, the same thing. In one of the situations I had to go and confront the president in those days because somebody had gone to lie about me to him. I said, Mr. President, why are you doing this? and he said, ‘I am sorry, I was told this and that.

“And I said, If I am praying for the opposition, did I not pray for you when you were in opposition? Mr. President, you used to come here when you were in opposition, so why do you have a problem with me that I am praying for the opposition?” he lamented.

The archbishop also explained that he draws no lines with any political party but rather has the country’s interest at heart.

“What is all this selfishness about? In 2016, I was attacked. I won’t mention names. In 2020, the same thing happened because I took a stand for the country, and this election too, the same thing is happening. But this time around, they will not go unpunished. This time around, let the sword of vengeance of God visit them in their dwellings,” he added.
