Ghana Immigration Service Arrests American Who Attempted To Cross The Ghana Togo Border

The Ghana Immigration Service has arrested an American citizen who attempted to illegally enter the country.

The American citizen had flown to Togo and illegally used the Ghana Togo border to enter the country.

President Akufo-Addo has closed all the borders as part of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

According to the Immigration, the American wanted to circumvent the closure of the border.

This comes when Ghana has recorded a spike in coronavirus cases.

25 new cases have been recorded taking the country’s total case to 52.

All the 25 new cases were in mandatory quarantine.
