GH¢20m Defamation Suit: Agradaa, husband discard court documents during first appearance

A video of Evangelist Patricia Asiedua (Nana Agradaa), appearing in court amid her legal tussle with Empress Gifty has sparked a barrage of reactions on social media.

One would recall that on May 20, 2025, gospel musician Empress Gifty filed a GH¢20 million defamation lawsuit against Agradaa at the Tema High Court for allegedly making defamatory statements against her.

Following the lawsuit, Agradaa took to social media to mock the lawsuit, saying, “Any idiot can go to court,” in a post that drew massive reactions.

But in a couple of days after, a video has gone viral showing Agradaa’s first appearance at the Tema High Court. She was seen dressed in an all-white outfit, accompanied by her husband, who wore a navy blue suit.

The couple was captured exiting the court premises after being served with the writ of summons.

What has drawn the most attention, however, is the moment Agradaa and her husband were seen allegedly throwing the court documents, the writ of summons, onto the ground as they left the courthouse.

The act has stirred massive reactions online, with many netizens calling on the judiciary to take disciplinary action against the couple for what some describe as a show of disrespect to the court.
