GFA Elections: Normalization Committee notifies court to throw out injunction request by Roy Arthur

The Normalization Committee (NC) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has notified the Accra High Court to ignore a request from Roy Arthur seeking to place an injunction on the upcoming elections.

Mr. Arthur is one of the aspirants who filed nominations to contest for the chairmanship position for the Central Regional FA. After facing a vetting committee, however, he was subsequently disqualified.

His camp did not take the decision kindly and has through his lawyer Kwame Quayson slapped the GFA with a writ seeking to put an injunction on the elections which is supposed to start next week.

In a reply to the writ, the NC through Naa Odofoley Nortey has asked the Accra High Court to throw the injunction into the mud.

According to her, the request of Roy Arthur should be ignored because the process of filing the appeal to the court failed to follow the laid-down procedure.
