German-Born Defender Is Set to Switch Nationality to Play for Ghana

German-born defender is set to switch nationality to play for Ghana. The Hamburg SV defender who might be described as the new ‘’Antonio Rudiger’’ is reportedly ready to play for the Black Stars at the world cup. His physical presence looks like one that can scare every attacker.

In fact, he is a giant and possess some characteristics of Jerome Boateng, the brother of Kevin Prince Boateng.

Since his name popped up, some people have been chanting, Salisu, no problem indicating that he can fill the defensive space which Ghana was looking forward that Salisu Mohammed could have played.

At the moment, Ghana’s defensive department based on the two matches played at the world cup playoffs seems to be organized and stable.

With the impressive performances of Djiku and Amartey, in the four and five positions, and Dennis Odoi and Gideon Mensah at the laterals, most Ghanaians are convinced that it is well with the back four. But more need to be done especially if you will need to vary your tactics depending on the opponent you are playing.

If Stephan Kofi Ambrosius’ nationality switch is successful, he will be joining the likes of Edward Nketiah, Tariq Lamptey, Inaki and Nico Williams, Hudson Odoi who has had all indicated their readiness to play for the Black Stars.

In the coming days, if we blend the old and the new players, what a team Ghana will present at the world cup and AFCON!
