Galatasaray troll Chelsea after snatching Osimhen

Galatasaray have aimed a massive dig at Chelsea on social media following the signing of Victor Osimhen.

The Turkish club on Tuesday, September 3, completed the signing of the reigning African Footballer Year on a season-long loan with no option or obligation to buy.

The 25-year-old joined the Turkish champions after falling out with his parent club, due to his failed move from Napoli on transfer deadline day.

Osimhen became the fifth Nigerian international to sign for the Super Lig giants after Dominic Iorfa, Valentine Ozornwafor, Peter Etebo and Henry Onyekuru.

Chelsea who were one of the frontrunners for Osimhen this summer failed to secure the player’s signature due to disagreement over his personal terms.

It appears the pain of missing out on the signing of Osimhen is still reverberating among Chelsea fans. A Blue fan with X handle @Blizylord while responding to Galatasaray’s post celebrating their marquee signing wrote, “Osimhen will flop at Galatasaray. He should have signed for CHELSEA because Chelsea is a bigger club.”

In a savage response, Galatasaray wrote, “doubt they have enough space in the locker room,” mocking Chelsea’s bomb squad at Stamford Bridge.
