Full match: Watch Azumah Nelson’s fight against EU Ambassador which ended in a draw

The legendary African boxer, Azumah Nelson, displayed his enduring boxing prowess during an exhibition match on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

At 65 years old, Azumah engaged in a three-round bout with the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Ghana, Irchad Razaaly, showcasing that age has not dimmed his skills.

The pair provided entertainment for the audience with their shadow boxing and playful display of boxing techniques.

The exhibition match, which took place at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, is part of the celebrations for the EU Month in May.

The event, titled “Diplo-Rumble: Empowering Youth Through Sports,” aims to highlight the skills of young Bukom boxers and promote the empowerment of youth through sports.

After the friendly competition, the judges declared the match a draw, showing that the bout was more about demonstration and enjoyment rather than competition.
