Four Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities who have flaunted their Tesla Cybertrucks so far

The quest for owning a Tesla Cybertruck is steadily increasing, with more celebrities adding the luxury vehicle to their fleet of cars.

This appears to be the new ‘flex,’ as celebrities have been spotted online sharing pictures of their Cybertrucks or even cruising to events in them.

Ghana’s prominent business mogul, Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, was among the first to show off his Cybertruck on social media and at public events.

He was shortly followed by Dubai-based Ghanaian socialite Kojo Forex.

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido also recently acquired his own Cybertruck.

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, he took to Instagram to share the news, “I was bored and added another Cyber!” after transporting his brand-new Rolls Royce Spectre.

Shortly after Davido’s announcement, Nigerian singer Omah Lay reportedly acquired not one, but two Cybertrucks.

According to reports, this Cybertruck model is the dual-motor All-Wheel Drive version, which has a starting manufacturer’s retail price of $79,990.

With 600 horsepower, it offers an estimated 340 miles of range and a top speed of 112 mph.

The price of the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck can go up to $101,985, depending on the trim and options selected.

The lineup currently only includes the Dual Motor and Beast models, until the rear-wheel-drive version arrives for the next model year, with a starting price of $62,985.
