Former NUGS President donates 2000 mathematical sets to 56 community schools in Adansi Asokwa
Former President of National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) Mr. *Sammy Binfoh Dakwa* as part of his social responsibility and educational empowerment program has donated 2000 mathematical sets to fifty six (56) community schools in Adansi Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti region.
He has indicated that, to ensure quality education as envisioned by H.E. Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, it is our collective responsibility to offer ourselves a service to the incoming generation.
The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is set to start on 10th June 2019 with the fervent hope that students will creditably excel.
Among the 56 community schools that benefited from this benevolent act includes Bodwesango SDA, Adansi Asokwa D/A, Fumso D/A, Ayokoa D/A, Akwansrem R/C, Hwiremoase D/A and New Akurofuom D/A,Anomabo D/A, Aboabo I II III, Nsokote, Adiembra and Brofoyedru Junior High Schools.
Making education accessible and Building the human resource Capacity of these young ones is an inspirational way of bringing development to the People of Adansi Asokwa and Ghana at large. The intended purpose is to Psychologically boost their confidence to study hard and pass their exams with distinction.
He believes that, as a former student leader and a stakeholder in education and development, it is his utmost responsibility to ensure the realization of SDG goal 4 which seeks *to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’* by 2030.
Miss Rhoda Ama Boatemaa on behalf of the students in the district thanked Mr. Binfo for his generosity. “I gave a sigh of relief upon seeing the intervention, many of us didn’t know how to secure one for our exams” , she confessed.
The District Director of Education, Miss. Dora Atigbire upon receipt of the items appreciated the efforts of Mr. Sammy Binfo and called on more educational intervention for students. She said,
*”May the spirits be kind to your genuine heartedness and your passion to impact on society. Ghana needs more of you.”
