Former Finance Minister Seth Terkper Loses Wife

The family of Ghana’s former Finance Minister and current Economic Advisor to President John Mahama, Seth Terkper, has been struck by a tragic loss. His beloved wife, Mrs. Deborah Ferguson Terkper, passed away on Sunday, July 7, in Fair Oaks, Virginia, USA, at the age of 63.

The news of her passing has sent shockwaves through many circles in Ghana, particularly among friends, colleagues, and well-wishers of Mr. Terkper, who served with distinction in government and continues to play a key advisory role in the economic team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In this moment of grief, the Terkper family has issued a heartfelt appeal for privacy, asking the public to keep them in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this painful chapter.

“During this difficult time, the family kindly asks that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers while respectfully honoring their privacy.”

Details regarding funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.
