Matthew Amoah Jr., the son of former Black Stars striker Matthew Amoah, has officially signed a professional contract with Dutch giants Feyenoord Rotterdam.

The teenager has committed to the club by signing a contract that will run until 2027.

The club announced Amoah’s first professional contract via a tweet on X (formerly Twitter).

After committing to his boyhood club, Amoah Jr. expressed his delight, stating that his commitment ushers him into the next stage of his development.

“I am very proud to have signed my first contract with Feyenoord,” he told the club’s media.

“I have worked towards this wonderful moment all these years, and next season I want to take the next step in my development and hope to be important for my team again by giving assists and scoring goals,” he added.

Amoah Jr. will be hoping to follow his father’s career trajectory by becoming one of the finest Ghanaian players ever.

Unlike his dad, who played as a striker, Amoah Jr. is a midfielder.
