Fire Guts Shops in Nkawkaw

The fire gutted many shops in Nkawkaw in the Eastern.

Over a dozen shops located opposite the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly have been razed down by the inferno which occurred Monday dawn.

Many properties including sewing machines, cooking utensils, mobile phones have been consumed by the fire.

The relatively swift intervention by the firefighters to extinguish the fire prevented it from spreading to other properties.

The cause of the fire is not known but officials of the Ghana National Fire Service have commenced an investigation into the incident.
