‘Stupid question’ – Kevin De Bruyne slams journalist after Belgium’s exit from Euro 2024

Belgian international Kevin De Bruyne labeled a journalist’s question as ‘stupid’ after Belgium’s exit from Euro 2024.

The Red Devils of Belgium were knocked out of the tournament at the last 16 stage as they lost 1-0 to France after Jan Vertonghen conceded a late own goal.

After the game, the Manchester City midfielder appeared before the press in the mixed zone for questions regarding their exit from the tournament.

During the questioning, the journalist asked, “Is it hard that the ‘Golden Generation’ didn’t achieve a final?”

After a brief pause, De Bruyne replied with a question, “What is the Golden Generation?”

The journalist responded, “Yours.” De Bruyne continued, “Mine? And you’re saying that France, England, Spain, and Germany do not have a Golden Generation? Okay, thank you.”

The Man City player later walked out of the mixed zone after answering the question.

It was while he was walking out that the Belgian was caught on camera saying ‘stupid question.’

Belgium’s star-studded side has been nicknamed the ‘golden generation’ due to the world-class players in the squad over the years.
