Femi Otedola gifts viral quadruplet parents N5m, kids scholarship

The family of Sodiq Olayode, who just welcomed quadruplets, has received N5 million from the foundation of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola.

This massive donation comes after more than N19 million in online donations from Nigerians in an outpouring of support.

Many people were moved by the Olayode family’s story when their problems were revealed on social media by a colleague identified as Oyeniran James.

When James Oyeniran, known as @jamysax on X disclosed that the quadruplets had used 105 diapers in less than a week, it caused a global outcry and a surge in donations.

The Femi Otedola Foundation, renowned for its humanitarian work, gave the Olayode family a N5 million check on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Philip Akinola from the Femi Otedola Foundation, gave the check on behalf of the charity.

Femi Otedola has also promised to fund two of the Olayode children’s university educations through scholarships.

Sharing the news on X, James wrote, “Guyssssssssssssssssss, Guess what???? ‘#realFemiOtedola sent representatives to offer a cheque of N5 million to the parents of the quadruplets and also offered scholarships for the education of two of their kids till university. I’m in tears, guys.’”
