Father of suspended presidential staffer begs

Mr Moses Donkor, father of suspended presidential staffer Dr Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor, has pleaded with the foot soldiers of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to forgive his daughter.

The Old Tafo Constituency Chairman of the governing NPP in the Ashanti region also apologised to the presidency for any inconvenience his daughter’s comment has caused.

Speaking on the Kumasi Morning Show on Kumasi 104.1FM on Wednesday, 13 June 2018, he told show host Akwesi Agudey that the action taken by the presidency to suspend Dr Louise is in the right direction and he accepts it in good faith.

He pleaded with the presidency to forgive his daughter and call her back to duty after she has served her suspension period.

“I plead with the foot soldiers to look at me and forgive and forget whatever has happened. Sometimes you say things without thinking about the consequences,” he said.

A Facebook user posted last week that “As a general rule; I don’t engage party foot soldiers!!.”

The suspended presidential staffer, in response to the post agreed with the opinion and said “you shouldn’t reason with them. It’s like tribalists.”

Mr Donkor, said he cannot tell what prompted Dr Louise to post such a comment in response to the Facebook post since his daughter is also a foot soldier at Tafo.
