Fatawu Issahaku shares positive update on ACL injury recovery

Ghanaian international and Leicester City forward Fatawu Issahaku has provided an encouraging update on his recovery journey, two months after suffering a severe ACL WHAT IS AN ACL? injury that sidelined him from action.

The 22-year-old sustained the injury during Ghana’s AFCON 2025 qualifier against Angola, forcing him to miss the rest of the campaign.

However, in a video shared on his Instagram page on Monday, January 27, 2025, the talented forward showcased significant progress on his path to recovery.

Issahaku has now moved past using crutches, walking unaided, and has begun gym sessions and fitness tests.

Before his unfortunate injury, he made 11 appearances for Leicester City, contributing two assists and proving himself a valuable asset to the team.

With the Foxes currently embroiled in a potential relegation battle, manager Ruud van Nistelrooy will undoubtedly hope for Issahaku’s speedy return as they fight to retain their place in the Premier League.
