Family of the late GCB Bank staff reveals why she committed suicide

Ghpage.com has sighted a report on social media allegedly from the family of the late Agnes Asempana, a GCB Bank Limited staff with the Nsawam branch who committed suicide explaining why they suspect their daughter took her life in her room on Friday, 5th July 2019.

According to the report circulating on social media, the newly constituted GCB bank board has directed all GCB workers to submit their certificates specifically, their Secondary School Certificate (Now Senior High) for verification.

The claim attributed to some family members claims that is what pushed Agnes Asempana over the edge since she feared to lose her job for one reason or the other.

Ghpage.com is making all efforts to contact the family of Agnes Asempana to verify these claims attributed to them and to seek for a deeper explanation. We will keep you updated.

The body of Agnes Asempana was discovered hanging in her bedroom in her two-bedroom apartment at Suhum with a nylon rope fastened around her neck on Friday, 5th July 2019. She was discovered in the evening of the same day around 4:00 Pm by her brother identified as Bajerisong Lazarus who paid her visit.

According to her colleagues, Agnes Asempana sought permission to return home and pick an item she has left behind during working hours. Only for her to go and hang herself.

Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), DSP Ebenezer Tetteh confirming the news revealed that there are no external marks which will immediately suggest a foul play in the death of Agnes Asempana but they are not ruling anything out yet.
