Ex-Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah allegedly poisoned at friend’s party in Tarkwa

Reports in the local media suggest that the former Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, is recuperating after being poisoned at a friend’s party in Tarkwa.

According to the reports, the former CEO is on admission at a health facility, which cannot be disclosed. However, he is recuperating.

Meanwhile, no arrests have been made, nor have suspects been found.

Nana Yaw Amponsah was the Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi-based sporting club until the life patron of the club dissolved its board before the start of last season.

Nana Yaw Amponsah moved on to Moldova, where his agency partnered with FC Petrocub Hincesti in January 2024 but left after six months in July 2024.
