Europa League: Osimhen thumbs up Galatasaray’s victory over Spurs

Victor Osimhen has talked up Galatasaray’s impressive win over Tottenham Hotspur in Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League clash.

Osimhen scored twice to help Okan Buruk’s side record a 3-2 victory over the Premier League club at the RAMS Park.

Galatasaray remains unbeaten in the competition after four matches.

The Nigerian said Tottenham made things difficult for them in the game.

“Tottenham was a very difficult opponent. We made our preparations accordingly. I want to congratulate my team. I would also like to thank our fans who supported us from the first moment to the last,” Osimhen told the club’s official website.

“Of course, the two goals were important for me. On the other hand, I hope Mauro’s injury is not serious. This victory was important for us.

“It was important for us to win against Tottenham who played well and fought until the last moment. We need to continue our momentum.”

The 25-year-old has now scored six goals and provided four assists in eight appearances for the Turkish Super Lig champions.
