Election 2020: Maklalo of Ogome State And Maklalo of Dodowa Called for Peace

The Maklalo Of Ogome State, Nene Tetteh Avi II in the Yilo Krobo Municipality and Nene Otswasa Matse, Maklalo Of Dodowa Wedokum of Hiowe Division of Shai State says it seemed “Political Leaders in the country appear to be more concern about winning power than the developmental needs and happiness of our people”.

 

According to the Chiefs ( Maklalo), what Ghana  needs now is absolute peace, unity  and other developmental challenges facing the nation, therefore politicians should Campaign with peace massages to Ghanaian especially the youth to avoid anything that will cause harm to the Country within and after the elections.

 

They also call on ” all Ghanaians to subordinate individual interest and Political Parties loyalty to the national desire for Peace, unity and development.

 

They said that as chiefs ( Maklalo), they had a responsibility and duty to speak objectively on national issue and in defense of national interest.

 

They lamented when the Maklalo Of Dodowa Wedokum, Nene Otswasa Matse and Maklalo Of Ogome State, Nene Tetteh Avi II Celebrated the performance of “Boundary Rituals” as part of revisiting their ancient heritage and as spiritual stamp over their stool Lands.

 

Both Maklalo called their ancestors to defend mother Ghana for Peace ahead of 2020 general electons.

 

They promised to continue to this friendship and continue with their ancient ritual. This event was one of the confirmation of Ogome and Wedokum ownership of their stool lands.
