Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on the public to be embrace the values of godliness associated with Ramadan as Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr to mark the end of the annual 30-day fasting and prayer.

In a well-wishing message to Muslims across the country, posted on his Facebook wall on Friday, 15 June 2018, Mr Mahama said: “For each and every one of us, Ramadan serves as a reminder of the need to reorient ourselves and imbibe the values of godliness, sacrifice, compassion and self-restraint”.

He said he is confident that Allah has accepted “our humble prayers, and our dear nation and all of its people will prosper”.
