Efia Odo blast NPP over abandoned Mahama project
Ghanaian actress and social media influencer, Efia Odo has blasted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for abandoning the Mahama housing project.
In a tweet Efia Odo complained about the abandoning of projests just because they were undertaken by a previous government.
The Ghana government under the Mahama administration constructed 1,500 housing units, built under the Saglemi housing project, near Tsopoli in the Ningo-Prampram District in the Great Accra Region.
The 300-acre 1,502-housing unit facility comprises one- to three-bedroom apartments and townhouses.
Efia Odo lamented over the lack of attention foe such a huge project which cost Ghana $180m to construct.
Her tweet read;
“What happened to the affordable housing project? Why is it not in use? Because it belongs to NDC right? Does everything have to be political. The money they wanted to use for the cathedral can build a homeless shelters, and it won’t even take up to one month to put it up,”
Housings and hospitals left abandoned. Buildings that can be used to house hundreds of homeless people. Why are they not in use? It would be amazing if our leaders can put politics aside and come together for the citizens of Ghana. Our people deserve better. pic.twitter.com/aho2lEHZk4
