ECG Boss resigns

The Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Samuel Dubik Mahama, has resigned from his position, according to citinewsroom reports.

The report noted that the now former ECG boss resigned in a letter to the Board Chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana, providing no official reason for the resignation.

There had not been any prior information to his resignation as people close to the matter have been tight-lipped about it.

This has come as a surprise to many as Mahama has only been in office for the past two years, the report said.

Dubik Mahama was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and resumed office on May 16, 2022.

He served as a non-executive director at ECG and has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors

Having previously worked as a non-executive director at GIHOC Distilleries, Country representative for Gulfsouth Forest Products,he was also a Partner at Dubik & Associates, Wilkins Engineering, among others.

He is a legal practitioner and a graduate of the University of Ghana.
