EC opens nomination for Council of State polls

The Electoral Commission has opened nomination for the election of regional representatives of the Council of State.

According to a statement by the EC, every nomination must be seconded by two registered voters and supported by twenty registered voters in the region.

“Every Nomination must be proposed and seconded by two (2) registered voters and supported by twenty (20) registered voters in the Region. The consent of the candidate must be endorsed thereon.”

“Copies of the nomination forms may be downloaded free of charge from the Electoral Commission’s website (www.ec.gov.gh) and completed in triplicate,” it noted.

This is will be the first election to be conducted by the EC after the disputed 2020 presidential and parliamentary polls which has ended in court.
