Dzifa Gomashie nominated as Minister-designate of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts

President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Member of Parliament for Ketu South Constituency, Dzifa Abla Gomashie as the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts in Ghana.

The announcement was made on January 16, 2025 and signed by the Acting Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

Abla Dzifa Gomashie served as a Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts under the Mahama’s administration from 2013 to 2017.

Gomashie is a politician and creative arts expert with four decades of experience in practice.

As the two-term Member of Parliament for Ketu South Constituency, Dzifa Gomashie has championed development and community support initiatives.

Abla Dzifa Gomashie holds an MPhil in African Studies from the Institute of African Studies.

She earned her diploma in Theatre Arts, and bachelor’s degree in Theatre Management, from the University of Ghana.
