Political strategist and former presidential aide, Dr. Doyin Okupe has passed away.
He died in the early hours of Friday, March 7, at the age of 72, after battling cancer.
His death was confirmed by a close source who disclosed that the former Labour Party spokesperson had been ill for a few weeks.
The source, who spoke to SaharaReporters, said his health deteriorated significantly, sparking concern among his loved ones and supporters.
Reports indicate that Okupe succumbed to cancer after battling the disease for most of the last two decades.
Okupe was first diagnosed with prostate cancer 16 years ago and later developed sarcoma in his right shoulder.
