The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been sternly cautioned against relaxing after winning the difficult 2020 national elections.
Members of the party in all the 16 regions of the country have therefore been advised to sustain the hard work that helped the party to win the 2024 polls.
Edmund Kyei, the Asokwa Constituency NPP First Vice Chairman, who gave the advise, said the party would suffer during the 2024 polls if they relax now.
In this regard, he humbly suggested that the momentum that contributed to help the NPP to retain political power in 2020 should be maintained at all cost.
“The 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections are just around the corner since four years in politics and even in real life, is just a short time period.
“Therefore, I am appealing passionately to my party members from the national to the last member of the party to continue to work hard for the NPP.
“There is no holidays in politics, therefore we should continue from where we won the 2020 elections from today so that victory 2024 will be easy for us”.
Edmund Kyei, who is also a member of the NPP National Communications Team, stated that definitely the NPP would retain political power in 2024.
“I believe in the competence and hard-working nature of President Akufo-Addo so surely his government will deliver to make election 2024 easier for NPP”.
Edmund Kyei also admonished his party members to forgive one another, especially where there is rancor so that the party would remain united.
