Don’t Download NDC App On Your Phone, “They Will Rob You”- Wontumi Warns Public

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party is warning the general public from attempting to download any mobile application developed by the National Democratic Congress.

According to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the leaders of the party cannot be trusted with it comes to handling of funds and for that reason, “could use the backdoor to transfer authorized funds from people who make a mistake of downloading the NDC app to donate”.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi challenged the leaders of the NDC to prove their mobile app is safe before directing their followers to donate money to the party.

“I am warning the general public not to trust the NDC. Even without technology, they were robbing the nation and now they want to use technology to do that. If you download their app, you risk losing all your cash to them, they will use the backdoor to rob you”, Chairman Wontumi warned.

The Flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has assured of maximum privacy for Ghanaians who wish to donate towards the party’s 2020 campaign.

“Those of you in business community who wants to contribute because of the vengeful nature of this current administration we will protect your identity,”  he said in an address at the launch of a digital campaign aimed at getting members to help finance the party ahead of the  December polls.

Both supporters and members of the party, according to the initiative, are required to download a special application on playstore on their mobile phones to enable them easily contribute.

As part of the initiative, members of the party are also required to adopt and contribute funds through their respective branches in order to ease the financial burden of organising a national campaign on national executives and flagbearer.

The campaign was launched by the party’s flagbearer former President John Mahama at a ceremony in Accra Thursday.
