The leaked tape that led to the resignation of Mr. Rockson Ayine Bukari as the Minister of State at the Office of the President in charge of special duties cannot be equated to Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Marfo’s comment on reasons the state freed ‘galamsey queen’ Aisha Huang, according to a Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Obiri Boahen.
“Osafo-Maafo was dealing with international relations if you like people outside Ghana and that of Rockson Bukari involves corruption”, he explained during an interview MyNewGh.com monitored on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show.
According to the outspoken politician cum lawyer, persons calling for the resignation of the Senior Minister are getting the understanding of the two situations wrong; stating Mr. Rockson Bukari resigned on his on his accord contrary to rumours he had been fired
“He is traditional person and matured person who does things on his own”, Lawyer Obiri Boahen told host of ‘Kro Yimu Nsem’ political talk show hosted by Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.
