Disband your vigilante group else i will sue you – GCPP Chairman

I will effect a court action against any political party that fails to disband their various vigilante groups in Ghana, Mr. Kofi Omar, Ashanti regional chairman for GCPP has warned.

He premised the reason for his decision on the recent violent clashes recorded in some parts of the country and shifted the blame on popular political parties in the country NPP and NDC as the cause of all recorded mayhem.

Speaking in an interview with THE PRESS RADIO, he indicated that all known militia groups in the country are offspring of the two political parties, warning that if executives of both parties are not forced by law to disband their vigilante groups, they will within the shortest possible time plug the country into war.

Political parties he stated should be compelled to rely on the state security for protection to help save the country.
