‘Did you ever attend any of the protests?’- Efia Odo tackles Jay Bahd amid #FreetheCitizen campaign

Actress and Socialite, Efia Odo has challenged Jay Bahd on his comment regarding the #FreetheCitizens protest.

In a social media post sighted by Ghanaweb, the rapper was seen urging people to leave their rooms and hit the street to protest.

According to him, protesting on only social media will not yield any positive results because the president may not be online to read their concerns.

“You guys dey your room dey tweet k3k3 for engagement dey expect changes from the president hmm I’m sure Nana no dey use the phone anymore so hit grounds move from ur comfort zones and let’s make the changes together #FreeCitizens” He posted in Pijin mixed with English.

In response, Efia Odo questioned whether Jay Bahd had ever participated in any such demonstrations. “You ever came to any of the demonstrations?” she replied.

Background

The #OccupyJulorbiHouse protesters were arrested during their demonstration, which took place in Accra.

The arrests followed a three-day protest at the 37 military Roundabout, where demonstrators raised concerns about illegal small-scale mining (galamsey) and economic mismanagement.

On Sunday, September 22, tensions escalated as a major confrontation occurred between protesters from Democracy Hub and the Ghana Police Service, marking the second day of the demonstrations.
