Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke who is also known as Davido has taken to social media to express his gratitude over his uncle Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the Osun election petition hearing that took place on May 8 at the Supreme Court.
In a tweet he shared on his Twitter page, he attributed the win of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to God for His benevolence during the court hearing.
Davido claimed that his uncle’s victory demonstrated the viability of a government run by, for, and by the people.
Davido extended gratitude to the people of Osun and everyone who contributed to the success of Governor Adeleke’s call.
He wrote: “We dedicate today’s victory to God. Our Governorship is an affirmation that a government of the people, by the people and for the people is possible. I express my heartfelt appreciation to great people of Osun state. On behalf of my family and party, I say thank you.”
