Davido calls out Osun state Commissioner of Police over political crisis rocking the state

Singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken to social media to rant about the political crisis in the state.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Davido posted a photo of the current Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba.

He called on the CP to respect the rule of law in the state where his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, is the governor.

The singer revealed his plans to post about him daily if he fails to obey the rule of law.

He wrote, “Mr commissioner respect the rule of law!!! You are not madder or crazier than us!! Make we all kuru mad!! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF!!! I will post u everyday everywhere Mr man!!! Try me fucker.”

His post comes after reports that the reinstated Chairman of Irewole Local Government, Osun State, Remi Abass, was killed by hoodlums working for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after taking over the council secretariat in Ikire.

Recall that both the PDP and the APC have been claiming control of the third tier of government, as the APC claimed that the Court of Appeal judgement delivered last week had reinstated the sacked elected council chairmen and councillors while the State Government said the election was nullified by the Federal High Court in Osogbo.

However, on Monday, February 17, 2025, Abass led other sacked council officials to take over in line with the court’s verdict and reportedly entered the Secretariat when hoodlums allegedly working for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stormed the Secretariat to dislodge them.

Reports indicate that there was an exchange of gunshots leading to the killing of Abass and the injury of several others.
