David Hundeyin hands PIDOMNigeria’s login details on X to the police

Investigative journalist David Hundeyin has stated that he handed over the password and security details of the X account belonging to embattled whistleblower Bristol Isaac, also known as PIDOMNigeria, to the police.

He made this disclosure in a post on X on Wednesday, September 4 amidst the controversy surrounding the arrest of the controversial blogger.

“FYI: I am no longer in control of the @PIDOMNIGERIA handle. The password and security details are now under new custody,” his post reads.

Previously, Hundeyin was implicated by the police as an accomplice to PIDOMNigeria after a discreet investigation was conducted.

PIDOMNigeria was accused of leaking classified and restricted documents, fraud, sedition, tax evasion, among other offenses.

During a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, September 3, a police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi stated that PIDOM was arrested following a petition from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Adejobi added that when operatives from the National Cybercrime Centre attempted to arrest PIDOM at his hotel, he resisted, locked himself up, destroyed his phone, and flushed it down the toilet.
