Dantano Queen Mother drags NPP Chairman, 5 others to Court over Borehole Money

An amount of Ghc¢11,834.00 is reported to have been misappropriated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman of Dantano and other five members.

 

The plaintiff says that its executive members were appointed to take over the management of Dantano Community water (borehole) from 02/06/2017 to 31/03/2020. The accounting books and so qualified chartered accountant was engaged to audit the said books where it was revealed that the defendants had misused funds amounting to Ghc¢11,834.00 during the period 02-06-2017 to 03/08/2018.

The defendants were however asked to refund the said amount to the plaintiff to enable them account to the Dantano Township as a whole but the defendants have since failed to do so hence the new development.

Nana Abena Gyapah III, Dantano Queen in an engagement with Soiree News Correspondent, Nana Ama stated that the court has set April 20, 2021 to a hearing in court.
