Daniel Amartey to Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich is reportedly interested in Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey as the German club seeks a temporary signing to address its injury crisis.

According to German news outlet Merkur, the six-time UEFA Champions League winners are considering offering the Ghanaian a short-term contract.

The former Leicester City defender is currently unattached and has been inactive for over a year since leaving Turkish club Besiktas.

Bayern is dealing with a severe injury crisis, with first-team players Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies, as well as backup defender Hiroki Ito, all sidelined.

Other free-agent options under consideration include former PSG and Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier and ex-Napoli and AS Roma left-back Mario Rui.

However, signing a free agent outside the transfer window remains unlikely, as Bayern would need to navigate regulatory challenges.

The Bundesliga leaders are in the final stretch of the season and remain in contention for a treble.
