D Black details why Stonebwoy has the most international exposure among other Ghanaian artiste

Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, popularly known as D Black, has named Stonebwoy as the Ghanaian artiste with the most international exposure, ahead of his colleagues in the music industry.

Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime TV, he praised Stonebwoy’s consistency in the global music scene.

“Stonebwoy has kept his momentum from winning ‘Artiste of the Year’ last year and has an album. He has the most international exposure than any Ghanaian artiste has,” D Black said.

The ‘Enjoyment Minister’ made this statement while discussing his picks for the 2025 ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

He tipped Stonebwoy, King Promise, and King Paluta as the top contenders for the coveted award.

D Black went on to emphasise the different strengths of the three frontrunners for the award, Stonebwoy, King Promise, and King Paluta.

While he acknowledged King Paluta’s impact on the Ghanaian scene, he pointed out that King Paluta is yet to establish himself on the international scene like Stonebwoy and King Promise.

On the other hand, he stated that King Promise has been consistently pushing his brand beyond Ghana’s borders.

He noted that King Promise’s international tours have positioned him as a strong contender for the award, especially after narrowly missing out last year.

“Stonebwoy, King Promise, and King Paluta are favorites for the ‘Artiste of the Year’. It’s a tight one. Look at King Paluta, for instance. He came from zero and penetrated the local market with about three big songs.

“He doesn’t have the international exposure as the rest. King Promise is also coming from almost winning it last year and working just as hard this year. He is on tour internationally.” D Black added.
