COVID-19: Ahafo Region Receives PPE To Fight Against Corona Virus

The Corona Virus Pandemic has become a Major threat to Ghana and the world at large. Many people are suffering from this deadly virus while millions are perishing.

 

The hardworking president of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been commended locally and internationally for his total commitment on the fight against Covid 19.

 

The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in fraternisation with Zoomlion have disinfected all the nooks and crannies of this Country.

 

The free Distribution of Veronica buckets, Tissue papers, Hand Sanitisers, Liquid soaps etc are highly commendable.

 

The good people of Ahafo, Bono and Bono East, who are living in the United States Of America (USA) under the auspice of Council of Brong Ahafo Association of North America (COBAANA) have donated Nose Mask, Sanitisers and other PPE to the region.

 

The leader of the delegation, who was the first general Secretary of COBAANA when it was formed a decade ago and currently the Coordinator for Ghana, Mr Paul Gyau. He presented the items to Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie, the minister. Regional health Director and and other health officials represented.

 

The first term member of Parliament for Asunafo North Constituency who doubles as the first ever Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie received the items on behalf of the region.

 

He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to them. As Oliver Twist will always ask for more, he appealed to all Philanthropists to support the region at this time of the pandemic. Proper measures have been put in place in combating the Corona Virus in the region.

 

All the major towns and villages within the region have received their share of the earlier items distributed by the region. The PPE will be given to the various health facilities within the region.
