Court Sets Date for Second Bail Review for Former NSA Boss Osei Assibey Antwi

Former National Service Authority (NSA) boss, Osei Assibey Antwi, is heading back to the Accra High Court on Thursday, December 11, 2025, for a hearing on an application seeking to vary his bail conditions for a second time.
Mr. Assibey Antwi faces serious charges, including causing GH¢600 million financial loss to the state, stealing, and money laundering, stemming from an alleged large-scale financial scandal at the NSA.
The former NSA boss was initially granted bail of GH¢800 million with multiple sureties and travel restrictions. Following a successful first application for variation, the bail amount was reduced to GH¢623 million. The current application by his legal team seeks a further reduction and review of these conditions.
Meanwhile, the substantive criminal case will be adjourned until January 19, 2026. This extension was granted to the prosecution at a previous hearing on November 27, 2025, after Principal State Attorney Dufie Prempeh explained that the Republic was unable to meet the disclosure deadline due to “setbacks regarding our witnesses” and requested additional time to complete their filings.
Mr. Assibey Antwi has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and the case remains at the case-management stage.
